personally I don’t want or need to actually create new compositions while performing…
you can get the same functionality by preparing many different macros and enabling/disabling them on the fly by linking them to buttons.
also look at my effect chain in quartonian vsm, it uses multiplexors to add/remove fx from the rendering path on the fly.
if you REALLY want the ability to actually create new patches AND a performance interface then I would look at creating a cocoa app that creates quartz composer files dynamically by reverse engineering the tree data structure.
but this is a LOT of work.
