Part of the problem isn’t so much that QC has a z plane for depth, but that it intermingles the z-depth with layers which may or may not be z aware! So ‘billboards’ aren’t but ’sprites’ are. And even then that depends on whether or not you have depth testing switched on. Just very confusing. Kind of needs simplifying! Like a universal use layers / use z-depth sorting toggle or something.
